In honour of his active spirit and pursuit of excellence in body and mind we would like to announce the first annual Thomas Seebohm Grand River Run. This event will take place on October 26th, 2008. As cycling was one of Thomas' great passions, participants may choose to cycle, as well as walk or run this route along the banks of the Grand River. A minimum required sponsorship of $50 will be raised by each participant with proceeds going towards the Seebohm Memorial Scholarship Fund. This annual event will look to promote physical activity, community engagement, ecological awareness, and academic achievement within the school and community that Thomas gave so much to.
Anyone looking to volunteer to help run the day's festivities and rest areas can contact the following people:

Our Brand New Blog
Hello and welcome to the new SWAG blog! We hope to use this as a venue for posting information that is relevant to the UW graduate students, such as meeting minutes, thesis defense announcements and information about our various academic and social events. Over time we are sure that this will grow into a useful resource for all things grad. Enjoy!
